The Choose to Know Campaign seeks to empower women to protect themselves from cervical cancer by 'choosing to know' their HPV status. HPV (human papillomavirus) is the primary cause of cervical cancer. By getting an HPV test along with a Pap, women age 30 and older (the highest-risk group) can know with virtually 100 percent certainty whether they are free from risk - or need to be examined more closely to make sure abnormal cells are caught early.
